Spatial trade-offs between communal roost aggregation and territorial exclusion across environmental interfaces in a social bird

This repository contains a dataset on nesting records of the Pyrrhocorax pyrrhocorax (Red-billed Chough) collected during the study period. The dataset includes distances to the nearest 2016 roosts, roost size of the nearest 2016 roost, and distances to the nearest patch of each main feeding habitat type (dry crops, shrubland, and grassland). For ethical and conservation reasons, and to ensure the protection of this sensitive species, precise nest location data (latitude and longitude) have been intentionally excluded. The omission of spatial coordinates aims to prevent disturbance, potential misuse of location information, and risks to breeding sites, in accordance with best practices in biodiversity data sharing and species conservation.
