* Description: This ZIP file consists of three Excel files. * Each Excel file: * "Egg-laying tunnel length" contains the all egg-laying tunnel length measured in the study. * Variables: * "Study sites": Study sites in which logs were exposed. Hokkaido: UTHF, Sugadaira: SRS, Yatsugatake: YKF. * "Log_ID": The IDs of the logs (bolts) used in the study. * "Attack density": Attack density of the logs (cm2). * "Egg-laying tunnel length": Total length of egg-laying tunnels in each gallery system. * "No of galleries, holes and offspring" contains log size, the numbers of gallery systems, all (i.e., both entrance and exit) holes on the log surface, and living offspring in the logs measured in the study. * Variables: * "Study sites": Study sites in which logs were exposed. Hokkaido: UTHF, Sugadaira: SRS, Yatsugatake: YKF. * "Log_ID": The IDs of the logs (bolts) used in the study. * "Circumference": Circumferences (cm) at both cut-ends and the middle of the logs. * "No of gallery systems": Number of gallery systems in the logs. * "No of holes": Number of all (i.e., both entrance and exit) holes on the log surface. * "No of living ofspring": Number of living adult offspring in the logs. * "No of offspring": Number of offspring adults calculated by [the number of living adults in the bark] + [the number of all (i.e., both entrance and exit) holes on the logs] – [the number of gallery systems in the bark]. * "Surface area": Surface area (cm2) of the logs calculated by length of log × average of the circumferences at both cut-ends and the middle. * "Offspring elytra length" contains the elytra length of adult offspring measured in the study. * Variables: * "Study sites": Study sites in which logs were exposed.
