Moderate Spatial Resolution Burned Area Atlas for the Mau Forest Reserve in Kenya (2012 - 2017)

This dataset contains moderate spatial resolution annual burned area records over the Mau Forest Reserve in Kenya. The dataset was derived from VIIRS Active Fire Detections (AFDs) and Landsat 7 & 8 Atmospherically Corrected Surface Reflectance, applying the ST-DBSCAN (Spatio-Temporal Density-Based Spatial Clustering of Applications with Noise) algorithm and the differenced Normalized Burn Ratio (dNBR) for burned area identification. Please consider that the dataset is still subject to revision to address inaccuracies associated with the spatial extent of derived burned areas.
