We aim to characterise the profile and dynamics of immune responses vaccinated volunteers e to understand the mechanisms involved in the low immunogenicity. Understanding the mechanisms through malaria induce a reduced immunity acquisition and stablishing the corresponding gene signature will allow the identification of poor immune responders and facilitate design of new vaccine strategies. We will utilise a combination of immunology mathematical modelling and transcriptomics analyses to characterise the immune components of the response, including a model for the cellular basis of the development of immunity to malaria which will contribute to improve the current vaccine deployment strategies.
