National Surface Water sites Hydstra

## **Abstract** \n\nThis dataset was supplied to the Bioregional Assessment Programme by a third party and is presented here as originally supplied. Metadata was not provided and has been compiled by the Bioregional Assessment Programme based on the known details at the time of acquisition.\n\n\n\nThere are 3 files that have been extracted from the Hydstra database to aid in identifying sites in each bioregion and the type of data collected from each on.\n\n\n\nThe 3 files are:\n\nSite - lists all sites available in Hydstra from data providers. The data provider is listed in the \\#Station as _xxx. For example, sites in NSW are _77, QLD are _66.\n\nSome sites do not have locational information and will not be able to be plotted. Victorian (DSE) sites are not included in the list.\n\nPeriod - the period table lists all the variables that are recorded at each site and the period of record.\n\nVariable - the variable table shows variable codes and names which can be linked to the period table.\n\n## **Dataset History** \n\nData was extracted from the Bureau's hydstra system and includes all gauges where data has been received from the lead water agaency of each jurisdiction\n\n## **Dataset Citation** \n\nBureau of Meteorology (2013) National Surface Water sites Hydstra.
