资源简介:
These data consist of four tabular files: 1) Paired air and water temperatures taken at 30-minute intervals at 204 sites throughout the southeastern USA. Data were measured roughly between 2011 and 2015. Units are degrees Celsius. 2) The same paired air and water temperatures, summarized into daily minimum, maximum, and mean. 3) The same paired air and water temperatures, summarized into weekly minimum, maximum, and mean. 4) Site info for the the temperature data, including coordinates (decimal degrees), site elevation (meters above sea level), COMID identifier for the NHDPlus stream segment that the site falls on, and a site ID that links site info to the temperature observations.
Also included is the R script used to compile and clean the data.
We considered paired air and water temperature data from 204 sites throughout the southern Appalachian region of the USA . Sites were located in randomly selected subwatersheds identified as capable of supporting populations of brook trout. Located at the downstream outlet of the subwatersheds, at each site a logger underwater was paired with a logger affixed to the bank or a tree. Stream and air temperatures were measured every 30 minutes using remote loggers. Loggers were deployed from 2010 to 2015.
