This data set is derived based on the data fusion of ESA CCI and ERA5 soil moisture data, which is the volumetric water content of soil surface layer with spatiotemporal continuous distribution on a global scale. The data unit is cm3/cm3, the spatial resolution is 0.25°, and the time resolution is daily. This data set significantly improves the spatiotemporal coverage and continuity of current microwave remotely sensed soil moisture data, and provides data support for water cycle research and soil moisture downscaling research.
