Income distribution of professional soccer in Italy 2010-2019, by source

Between the seasons 2010/2011 and 2018/2019, the highest share of income recorded by the Italian Football Federation related to broadcasting rights. However, the share of broadcasting rights' income decreased over the seasons considered. In 2010/2011, it accounted for 39 percent of the overall income. In 2018/2019, this share decreased to 36 percent. Italy is part of the biggest top-tier soccer leagues in Europe ("Big Five") with a total revenue of 2.49 billion euros as of the 2018/2019 season.
