Zebrafish Activity Prediction Benchmark (ZAPBench) is a novel dataset derived from 4D light-sheet microscopy recordings of over 70,000 neurons in the larval zebrafish brain. This dataset provides motion-corrected data and voxel-level cell segmentation to support the development of diverse prediction methodologies. It records brain activity across nine distinct visual stimulus conditions, offering rich contextual information for forecasting future neural activity. Developed to advance research on predicting single-cell-resolution neural activity across the entire vertebrate brain, ZAPBench’s unique characteristic lies in its integration with complete brain structural reconstructions, which creates new possibilities for future model-based research.
