Global number of new high-impact oil and gas wells 2024, by region

Africa is expected to account for the highest number of significant oil and gas drilling in 2024. According to a forecast, some 13 new oil and gas wells deemed as "high-impact", meaning they could have notable impact by unlocking new plays or implicating prospects of respective operators, could be drilled on the continent.
