E. coli transcription in response to apoptotic metabolites [MeMix]

E. coli was grown in the presence or absence of critical metabolites derived from apoptotic mammalian epithelial cells. E. coli was grown in media (control), the presence of 6 apoptotic metabolites (MM6), or the presence of 3 apoptotic metabolites (MM3). The transcriptional profile was assessed during mid log growth phase, prior to the onset of any growth phenotypes across conditions. E. coli was grown aerobically in vitro.
