Cultural Consumption Policy and Urban CO₂ Emissions: Data from China's National Pilot Program
收藏资源简介:
This dataset includes city-level panel data for 284 Chinese prefecture-level cities from 2015 to 2023, collected to study the impact of the National Culture and Tourism Consumption Pilot Program (CCPP) on urban CO₂ emissions. The dataset is used in a quasi-natural experiment framework to examine the causal effects of cultural consumption policies on carbon emissions. It includes variables such as per-capita CO₂ emissions, city economic characteristics, population size, fiscal capacity, and service-sector share, alongside a policy indicator capturing the implementation of CCPP. The analysis offers insights into the role of green innovation and digital infrastructure in amplifying the policy’s emissions-reduction effects, contributing to the understanding of demand-side environmental policies.
