Preservation Potential Index and Site Density Modeling Data: Nagpur and Chandrapur Districts, Wardha–Wainganga Basin, Central India

This dataset supports the article "Taphonomic Filtering of Open-AirPalaeolithic Site Distributions: A Geomorphic Preservation PotentialFramework for Quantifying Preservational and Behavioral Contributions,Nagpur and Chandrapur Districts, Wardha–Wainganga Basin, Central India"(Geoarchaeology, under review). Contents: raw and processed geological/geomorphological shapefiles,environmental predictor rasters (30 m terrain ruggedness, elevation,river distance, raw-material distance, survey-effort KDE), the three-classPreservation Potential Index (PPI) classification audit trail, the 1-kmanalysis dataframe used in all statistical models, supplementary tables(cross-validation, DHARMa diagnostics, Moran's I, sensitivity analysis,bootstrap draws), and saved model objects. Site coordinate data are provided at the spatially thinned, 1-km-cellresolution used in the published models. Full-precision original sitecoordinates are withheld from public deposit and are available onreasonable request to the corresponding author, subject to heritage-siteprotection constraints under the Archaeological Sites and Remains Act,1958 (India).
