Klischees von Geschlechterrolen im Gesprächsverhalten von Jugendlichen. Dargestellt Anhand von Talkshows

How do young people communicate in public media discourse (talk shows)? To what extent and in what ways do they represent gender role stereotypes, i.e., female-specific and male-specific conversational behavior? When young people put themselves in the limelight and make their opinions known publicly on the stage of public TV discussion rounds, gender-typical behavior is evident. It can be seen through their conversational behavior (proportions of speech) and body language, both of which will be investigated here. The study thus aims to contribute to the description of the conversational behavior of young people in the media. The results are to be seen as a case study of the conversational sequences examined in the context of public television talk shows.
