Main Endeavour Field South pH Sensor Deployed 2019-09-21

The UMN In-situ Chemical Sensor System SN B was deployed on 2019-09-21 at Main Endeavour Field South. Main Endeavour Field South is at the south end of the Main Endeavour Field located along the Endeavour Ridge, where hydrothermal vent systems are observed. This device is a pH Sensor. pH sensors measure the acidity, or alkalinity, of sea water by the concentration of hydrogen ions in the water column. It was deployed on a fixed platform. Data from this deployment were archived and made available through Ocean Networks Canada's Oceans 3.0 digital infrastructure, with quality assurance and derived data products following established practices.
