The First Farmers Project investigated Neolithic settlement in east-central Scotland. Excavations were caried out at six locations in east-central Scotland: Ballendrick, Claish Farm, Duncrub, Mountstewart, Nethermuir and Upper Gothens. These spots were chosen because of the presence of lithic scatters to determine whether these were indications of early human activity rather than simply isolated artefacts. There are a series of reports resulting from these investigations and further reports, database files and images are available for downloading.
