Genotyping-by-sequencing of traditional varieties of Theobroma cacao (Malvaceae) from the state of Tabasco, Mexico

Through a novel technique of genotyping-by-sequencing (GBS) and different bioinformatic analyzes, a fragment of the evolutionary history of traditional cultivars of Theobroma cacao (Malvaceae) from the state of Tabasco, Mexico, was studied in depth by identifying single nucleotide polymorphisms (SNPs), in addition to the characterization of some of their preserved coding sequences (CDs), which are determining factors in the corresponding transcriptional expression of the genus Theobroma.
