RNA-Seq results suggested that epithelial to mesenchymal transition (EMT) -related pathways were upregulated in the metastatic subclones. Furthermore, forced expression of ST6Gal-I in the parental Suit2 line was sufficient to upregulate EMT, indicating a functional role for ST6Gal-I in this process. Overall design: RNA-Seq was conducted on poorly-metastatic Suit2 pancreatic cancer cells and Suit2-derived metastatic subclones, as well as Suit2 cells with forced expression of ST6Gal-I.
