"Boot auf dem Nyassasee." ("A boat on Lake Nyassa."). Two men and one woman are sitting in a boat. In the background: a man is navigating. On the left and on the right: a man and a woman are rowing. In the middle of the boat: several bags. The photographer himself is sitting in the boat.; Werner Hauffe (1909-1982) was a carpenter and later a missionary of the Herrnhuter Brüdergemeine. From 1933 to 1939, he served in Rungwe, Utengule and Isoko. In Utengule, he was an assistant to Brother Gemuseus. In 1937 he married Irmgard Wolff.
