Analysis of mutations introduced by tobacco-specific nitrosamine exposure in human cells

Mutagenic agents alter the DNA sequence in characteristic ways, which can be represented as compound-specific mutational signatures. This project aims to identify the mutation patterns induced by tobacco-specific nitrosamines, using bulk whole-exome and whole-genome sequencing as well as error-corrected/duplex sequencing in human cell lines using controlled exposure conditions.
