We treated Uox-KO hyperuricemia mouse model with Tigulixostat and investigated the gene expression changes in liver and kidney tissues by single-cell transcriptomics Male urate oxidase knockout(Uox-KO) mice and male wild-type mice were purchased from GemPharmatech (Nanjing, China). The corporation knocked out exons 2-4 of the mouse Uox gene on the C57BL/6J background to obtain the Uox-KO model. This model is an ideal animal model for screening and evaluating drugs for treating hyperuricemia due to the accumulation of uric acid in mice. We found that Tigulixostat reduced blood uric acid levels and improved kidney function more effectively than allopurinol.
