VPRS 1507 Judges Note Books

This series consists of volumes maintained by various judges at the Wangaratta Courts which was used to take notes for their own benefit in the course of cases.Notes were taken regarding cases heard in the Wangaratta Court of General Sessions and the Wangaratta County Court. The detail and style of notes taken varies considerably. Generally speaking, notes taken in relation to County Court (i.e civil) cases are less detailed. Notes for some cases have been written in shorthand.Notes record at a minimun level the case, days of sitting, plea made and verdict reached (for General Sessions cases) and judgement details (for County Court cases).
