Sundeck

Sundeck is a warehouse and query management addition for Snowflake users. It focuses in on giving a set of tools to help users better understand what is going on with their Snowflake investment. This includes the ability to introduce query monitors, warehouse scheduling and labels.

Sundeck Warehouse Scheduling allows you to set time based schedules to adjust warehouse size, autoscaling, etc to adapt to low-usage patterns like evenings and weekends to minimum waste.

Sundeck Labels allow data engineers to categorize workloads by their shape and other characteristics. This include incorporation of support for QTag for better query categorization. Users can look at their queries by what tool they might have come from including BI tool or dbt as well as specifics around those workloads (for example, what is the cost of maintaining this particular dbt model).

Sundeck includes a suite of reports that highlight warehouse utilization as well as cost-per-query metrics.
