The Financial Intelligence Unit of Latvia (FIU) publishes information only on the types of economic resources registered in public registers maintained by state institutions.* For example, real estate registered in the Land Register, capital shares registered in the Commercial Register, trademarks registered in the Patent Register, etc. No information is available in this section regarding other types of frozen economic resources of sanctioned subjects, the registration of which in the registers maintained by State institutions is not provided for by regulatory enactments. If the FID has information on other such non-publicly registered types of economic resources, information on them is included in the section [Sanctions Entities] (https://sankcijas.fid.gov.lv/buj). We would draw your attention to the fact that the FID publishes information ** only on sanctioned entities whose economic resources have been frozen in Latvia, in accordance with the information at the disposal of the FID.** The FID may not have complete information at its disposal on all economic resources in Latvia that should be frozen if persons have not informed the FID of the execution of sanctions in accordance with the procedures laid down in laws and regulations (see here information on the type of information that persons must submit to the FID).
