The #SciFund Challenge is a crowdfunding effort for science. The second round ran during the months of November and December, 2012, and raised $75,978 for 33 scientific research projects, primarily in biology. Some basic information about this round of the challenge can be found at these posts on the #SciFund blog: The social media data here were compiled from public sources (e.g., the RocketHub website, video hosting counts) as soon as possible after the completion of #SciFund (i.e., within the hour after the projects closed).
