Faecal samples pre and post treatment of pigs with fenbendazole were collected, eggs were purified and DNA was extracted. ITS-2 PCRs were conducted on all samples positive for strongyle eggs and PCR products sequenced using MiSeq. The project aimed to provide information regarding the epidemiology and potential benzimidazole resistance status of porcine strongyle in German pig farms with outdoor rearing pens.
