资源简介:
In this dataset, we share the MRI and behavioral data relevant to our study investigating stroke recovery in 125 adult male C57Bl/6J mice with photothrombotic strokes in the sensorimotor cortex. Lesion size and location were determined during the first week post-stroke using in vivo T2-weighted MRI, and motor recovery was evaluated repeatedly over four weeks using the cylinder, grid walk, and rotating beam tests. These data were analyzed to explore whether the Proportional Recovery Rule (PRR), frequently used to predict motor recovery in acute stroke patients, applies to preclinical models of stroke recovery. Our findings revealed two distinct recovery patterns, resulting in the formulation of the Mouse Recovery Rule (MRR), which we compared against the traditional PRR. This dataset includes both MRI and behavioral data that were crucial for these analyses and provides a comprehensive resource for researchers aiming to investigate stroke recovery trajectories in animal models. In accordance with the FAIR (Findable, Accessible, Interoperable, and Reusable) principles, this dataset is made available to facilitate further research, ensure reproducibility, and promote the integration of these findings into preclinical and translational stroke research.
