The influence of the timing of substrate introduction to the convergence of microbiota toward an indigo-reducing state

Sukumo (composted leaves of Polygonum tinctorium L.), which contains substrates (residues from plant decomposition) of microorganism as well as seeds microorganism for the fermentation has been used indigo fermentation. In addition to the substrates containing in sukumo, wheat bran has been used as an additional substrate. However, the influence of the timing of wheat bran (WB) addition to the microbiota has not been well understood. Changes in microbiota was stimmed by Illumina metagenomic sequencing was employed to estimate microbiota in batches prepared by wheat bran was introduced at different timing.
