资源简介:
After experiencing chronic stress, individuals often undergo changes in their systemic immunity, which can result in peripheral immunosuppression and an increased susceptibility to infections. How the central nervous system might regulate leukocytes during chronic stress has previously been noted, but there has been little focus on process linking brain networks with immune-erythroid cells in the bone marrow. Traditionally, the primary function of red blood cells is considered to be the transportation of oxygen throughout the body. However, emerging evidence suggests that nucleated CD71+ erythroid cells also play a role in immune responses. These immune-erythroid cells are interconnected with various immune cells, actively exerting immunomodulatory effects. Our findings provide important insights into the relationship between immune-erythroid cells and the brain and its role in chronic stress.
