Mount Allison Phyto Lab Data

The Northumberland Strait Microbial Water Quality dataset is an archival collection of faecal loads in South East New Brunswick waters. Since 2017, we have been assembling historic microbial water quality data with an aim to generate a highly resolved and ongoing understanding of the sources, timing and fates of faecal contamination in the Shediac Bay and Northumberland Strait areas. The data comes in large part from Shellfish Surveys completed by Environment and Climate Change Canada. However, new data is continually being generated by various government agency, Non-Governmental Organization and citizen science sources and is scattered throughout publications, on different websites in various formats or being held by various government agencies. It is our hope that posting this data on an up-to-date, open-platform, public access service like DataStream will help researchers, managers and policy makers alike as they work to address the most probable sources of contamination in South East New Brunswick waters.
