Data for "An Open-Source Python Framework for the Flexible Deployment and Advanced Applications of the Variable Infiltration Capacity (VIC) Model"

This dataset provides the primary modeling resources for the study entitled “An Open-Source Python Framework for the Flexible Deployment and Advanced Applications of the Variable Infiltration Capacity (VIC) Model”. It contains the core case study files used to demonstrate the capabilities of the Easy VIC Build (EVB) framework for flexible VIC model deployment. The dataset includes two representative case studies: the Gasconade River Basin (GRB) in the United States and the Jing River Basin (JRB) in China. For each basin, the dataset provides the essential VIC model configuration files, spatial parameter files, and other supporting model setup files required to reproduce the model deployment workflow using EVB. Due to the file size limitations of the data repository, the meteorological forcing datasets and data processing configuration files (dpcFiles) are not included in this release. Users can obtain or prepare the required forcing data and configure the corresponding data processing procedures according to the EVB documentation. Together with the EVB source code, this dataset provides representative examples for deploying VIC model instances across different basin environments and supports the reproduction, evaluation, and further development of VIC-based hydrological modeling applications.
