UZBEKISTAN INTRODUCES A 12-YEAR SYSTEM OF GENERAL SECONDARY EDUCATION

Uzbekistan's schools will introduce a 12-year school system. Preparatory groups have become the mandatory first stage of schooling. According to a new presidential decree, the one-year program for preparing children for school has been officially included in the structure of compulsory general secondary education. This decision effectively marks the country's transition to a twelve-year education cycle, with the first year becoming the foundation for further study.
