An extensive collection of ~200 S. capitis strains isolated between 1994 and nowadays in NICUs and adult patients from countries spanning the five continents will be subjected to whole-genome sequencing (Illumina technology, HiSeq/MiSeq). We propose to combine phylogenomics and molecular clock analyses to reconstruct the evolutionary history of the NRCS-A clone in order to investigate the origin and the dissemination ways involved in the international spread of NRCS-A strains
