Reasons for using eye make-up among women in the United Kingdom (UK) 2017, by age

This statistic shows the results of a 2017 survey in which female make-up wearers in the United Kingdom (UK) were asked why they usually use eye make-up products, such as mascara, eye shadow and eyeliner, broken down by age group. The most common explanation for using eye make-up products among women of all ages is to look better. Out of those surveyed, 64 percent of 18 to 29 year olds cited this a reason for their eye make-up use, as well as 72 percent of 30 to 59 year olds and 78 percent of those aged 60 years and older.
