Supporting publication for 'Guidance for reporting methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus (MRSA) data in the context of the baseline survey in fattening pigs'

The record is intended to support reporting countries in submitting the 2025 sample-based MRSA prevalence data, MRSA AMR data, and animal population data within the framework of the baseline survey on fattening pigs to the EFSA Data Collection Framework. The package includes one Excel file, three reporting tools, three XML files, and one Word document, each serving a specific purpose: Excel file (MRSA Examples Data Reporting.xlsx) – Provides examples of how prevalence data can be reported using SSD2, illustrates how the data are subsequently aggregated, and includes examples of MRSA AMR data and animal population data in the context of the baseline survey on fattening pigs. Reporting tools (MRSA_FACT_AP_MAN_example, MRSA_FACT_ISOLATE_MAN_example, MRSA_FACT_PREV_MAN_example) – Developed and provided by EFSA to support Member States in reporting MRSA data across all three domains (animal population, antimicrobial resistance, and prevalence at sample-based level). Each tool contains the same examples included in the Excel file but divided by data model. XML files (Animal population example.xml, Isolate based level example.xml, Prevalence based level example.xml) – Generated from the reporting tools, they replicate the same examples as the Excel file and are structured in XML format for direct upload into the Data Collection Framework. Word document (Detailed MRSA examples) – Explains the examples provided in the Excel file, reporting tools, and XML files, and describes how the aggregation of sample-based data is carried out.
