Chinese government websites dataset

Dataset of all Chinese government websites in operation as of late 2025 (.csv file format), retrieved from China's official database of government websites. Metadata provided:

id (as provided by data source)

name: Name of the website

url: Url to the website

unit: Unit responsible for the website

status: Status (as provided by the official database): 例外 (exception) or 正常 (normal).

province: location of the website on a provincial level (null if not applicable)

prefecture: location of the website on a prefecture level (null if not applicable)

county: location of the website on a county level (null if not applicable)

admin_level: Administrative level of website, national, departmental (i.e., departments of ministries), province, prefecture, or county
