The goal of this study was to identify Escherichia coli CFT073 fitness genes during colonization of the bladder in a murine model of urinary tract infection by INseq. Our study utilizes an ordered transposon library, limiting the number of mutants while maintaining the largest possible genome coverage, to circumvent bottlenecks during bladder infection.
