general attitude to leave for new parents for fathers and attitude to
utilization of such a leave for new parents in one´s own family; father
or mother as primarily responsible for child care and raising children;
judgement on the development of children in full-time kindergartens, in
government day-nurseries or otherwise outside of the family;
satisfaction with the kindergarten and day-nursery situation; most
important reasons for dissatisfaction with this situation; preference
for full-time school or part-time school; understanding for women or
men without desire for children; importance of economic independence of
women; attitude to marriage as institution; assessment of the situation
of children in non-marital partnerships or with single-parents;

The following questions were also posed to respondents with
pre-school-age children: children in kindergarten institutions; type of
child care institution; persons helping to care for children.

The following questions were also posed to respondents with school-age
children: attending an all-day or half-day school; type of child care
after school; persons helping to care for children.

The following questions were also posed to respondents without
children: desire for children and preferred number of children.

The following questions were also posed to women: membership in a
women´s association, a women´s organization that is a member of the
German Women´s Council; interest in participation in such an
organization.
