Mechanical properties of Sisal fiber on Polyester composite

Growing environmental concerns have led to the use of renewable natural materials for the design and
development of new components/products and now the use of natural fibres has made new paradigm in manufacturing the composite materials. The main advantages of using natural fibre in composite materials are (i) simple processing, (ii) lower specific weight, (iii) good acoustic properties and mechanical strength. Natural fibres are rich in cellulose and iodegradable and are not yet fully exploited for their use. Natural fibres have great utility for engineering applications and are also available in most of the countries.
