This dataset compiles financial sector policy and regulatory data from over 460 institutional entities, including national legislative, judicial and supervisory authorities, institutions under the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China, the State Council of China and its subordinate departments, the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC), securities regulatory bodies, trading venues and settlement institutions, financial institutions, central enterprises directly administered by the State-owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission (SASAC) of the State Council, and wholly state-owned companies. It also covers data from multiple columns on the official websites of the governments of China's 31 provinces and municipal-level governments.
