The objective of the study was to compare gene expression across SMA cases and postnatal controls in spinal cord, diaphragm and iliopsoas tissues. This dataset was used in the testing of the GENDULF algorithm. Overall design: SMA cases and postnatal controls from spinal cord, diaphragm and iliopsoas tissues. A total of 5 SMA spinal cord cases, 4 spinal cord postnatal controls, 6 diaphramg SMA cases, 3 diaphragm postnatal controls, 5 iliopsoas SMA cases and 3 iliopsoas postnatal controls.
