This series comprises the agendas, minutes and Board papers of the Technical and Further Education (TAFE) Accreditation Board.The TAFE Accreditation Board was established under the Post-Secondary Education (Amendment) Act 1983, proclaimed on 28 June 1983. The TAFE Accreditation Board was responsible for the accreditation of all state-wide courses in TAFE. The purpose of the Board was to provide the Minister for Education and the community with an independent assessment of courses as to their quality and standard. Courses of study were referred to the TAFE Accreditation Board by the TAFE Board.This series documents the role of the Board, accreditation policies, procedures, TAFE curriculum development and accreditation.The series in custody is not complete. At the time of transfer in November 1997 the following minutes were missing, their location is not known:1983/1 and 1983/21984/1 to 1984/101984/121985/3, 1985/5, 1985/6, 1985/8The TAFE Accreditation Board was replaced by the Victorian Post-Secondary Education Accreditation Board (VPSEAB) in July 1987.
