Emory University (Emory-CEIRR) will integrate basic and clinical research to advance the understanding of respiratory viral infection, transmission, evolution, and emergence, and to fill key gaps in our understanding of the human immune response to respiratory viral infection, and vaccination. Major areas of focus include influenza viruses and corona viruses. Through this work, Emory-CEIRR aims to enable the development of improved measures to reduce the burden that respiratory viruses impose on human health.
