Expert Survey: AI-Driven Disinformation Threats and Countermeasures

Structured survey data from 54 domain experts across 21 countries on the threat landscape, mitigation effectiveness and emerging risks of AI-driven disinformation. The dataset contains quantitative (7-point Likert scales, modality by domain threat matrices, forced rankings, Best-Worst Scaling) and qualitative (open-ended) responses collected via an online questionnaire. Experts span AI and ML research, policy and governance, journalism and academia across eight global regions. Wave 2 of a longitudinal study, collected July 2025 to March 2026. The study is cumulative: Wave 2 contains all 21 Wave 1 respondents plus 33 new ones, so the wave totals must not be added together. This version supersedes the Wave 1 release. The wave boundary is reconstructible from the timestamp column. Created as part of a doctoral dissertation on the AI-driven disinformation ecosystem at Frankfurt University of Applied Sciences.
