The video is supplementary information as part of the PhD thesis 'Making Cartilage One Drop at a Time: Harnessing Droplet Microfluidics for Cartilage Tissue Engineering submitted for viva examination in September 2020 and recommended for award in December 2020/ Sample high-speed video showing an example of cell encapsulation in microdroplets. The cells were injected at a seeding density of 3 million cells/ml on a flow-focussing PDMS chip that generated droplets of approximately 200 microns in diameter.
