资源简介:
An Information Delivery Specification (IDS) provides a structured approach for defining, managing and checking the Information Requirements (IRs) of IFC models. Specifically, IDS files are machine-readable schemas that define which information must be present in an IFC model and can be used with standard software to automate validation. IFC models are digital representations of building components, enabling standardised information exchange across software platforms. This IDS is linked to a study that investigates the use of the IDS standard to validate IFC models for the reuse of precast hollow core slabs—precast concrete elements with longitudinal voids used in floors and roofs for structural efficiency. The authors developed an IDS-based workflow to verify that IFC models contain all required data specified in the Norwegian standard NS 3682:2022 for "Hollow Core Slabs for Reuse" (link). A Revit-generated IFC4x3 model was validated using the open-source Bonsai add-on for Blender, while a complementary buildingSMART Data Dictionary (bsDD) ensured semantic consistency. Results show that IDS efficiently identifies missing or inconsistent information, supporting quality assurance and regulatory compliance. Standard tools, such as Revit, Blender (Bonsai), and bsDD-compatible software, enable the practical implementation of circular construction, promoting reliable digital inventories of reclaimed materials.
