To investigate the functional heterogeneity of muscle macrophages, we sorted 3 macrophage populations from 4wk-old WT and mdx mice based on the expression of Gal3 (gal-3+ Mac), FOLR2 (SkMRM) and CD52 (MDM). We then performed gene expression profiling analysis using data obtained from RNA-seq of the FACs-sorted populations of muscle macrophages.
