Purpose: 5hmC is found to be depleted in many human cancers, but its heterogeneity among HNSCC subtypes has not been studied. Experimental Design: we collected18 HPV(+) and 18 HPV(-) HNSCC samples and studied the effect of 5hmC both by HPV status and by HPV(+) subtype. Overall design: 18 HPV(+) and 18 HPV(-) primary head and neck cancer samples and their matched blood samples were collected and sequenced with hydroxymethylated DNA immunoprecipitation sequencing (hMeDIP-seq)
