资源简介:
Knowing the effects of greenery on mental health and stress reduction, in this article we determine the effects green balconies and green building faced can have on reducing stress and improving mental health for remote workers specifically in times of pandemic. We used Kaplan’s theory on attention restoration to create questions for the balcony types we created in a 3d software and later presented to volunteers through virtual reality glass. We also used Ulrich’s theory on stress reduction to emphasize our point on the matter. By turning apartment balconies into semi-open green spaces, we can significantly improve people’s mental health and reduce their stress. A green balcony is accessible to people at all times, so it is not only beneficial during the pandemic but also for everyday life.
