This dataset contains responses from an online survey conducted in August and September 2022 with residents of Seoul, South Korea. The structured questionnaire included 56 items, covering demographic characteristics and measuring motivation, attitude, and behavior using Likert scales. Respondents were adults (aged 19 and over) with experience purchasing products on Karrot (a secondhand marketplace app). Participants were recruited through Macromill Embrain, Korea’s largest online panel provider. A pilot survey with 35 participants was conducted to test the clarity and logical flow of the questions, with no major issues found. The main survey was then conducted in two phases: with 300 participants (Aug 22–25) and 115 participants (Sep 8–13).
